Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included the work Aboabo Taxi-Drivers Union by Ato Delaquis. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,509.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Ato Delaquis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2018 the work Fort San Sebastiab, Shama was auctioned for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,572.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aboabo Taxi-Drivers Union von Ato Delaquis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.509,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Ato Delaquis konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2018 die Arbeit Fort San Sebastiab, Shama für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.572,11) versteigert.
