This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Astolfo Petrazzi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Salomé Portant La Tête De Saint Jean-Baptiste sold at auction in June 2020 with the realized price of EUR 28,600.00.
