Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Martirio di San Lorenzo by Ascanio Luciani was sold in the Old Master Paintings and Drawings auction at Christies in Milan in June 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,472.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ascanio Luciani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An architectural capriccio with figures outside a palace in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,061.28).

Die Arbeit Martirio di San Lorenzo von Ascanio Luciani wurde im Juni 2006 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Drawings bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.472,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
