This artwork by Arzu Akgün achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2012. In the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction, the work Model 1 sold for USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,328.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. This high result makes Model 1 the most expensive artwork by Arzu Akgün that we have observed at auctions so far.
