Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A calm: a moonlit coastal landscape by Ary Pleijsier was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2002. The price achieved of EUR 470.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ary Pleijsier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ships in a Calm Bay in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,962.50).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 470,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ary Pleijsier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ships in a Calm Bay im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.962,50).
