In the British and Victorian Pictures auction, the work In Monmouth'S Ranks - Sedgemoor 'Who Then Fear To Draw The Sword And Fight The Battle of The Lord?' Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Micah Clarke sold for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,893.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arthur Twidle; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Edward, The Black Prince, And Sir John Chandos At Poitiers sold at auction in March 2005 with the realized price of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,641.17).
