Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur Trevor Haddon could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Portrait of a lady, seated three-quarter-length, in a lilac dress holding a fan changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 175.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Trevor Haddon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Market Day before the City Walls in Rabat in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,354.32).
