Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December this year Artcurial held the auction A Moroccan Winter, which included the work Le fumeur de sebsi by Arthur Strasser. The »bidding war« ended at MAD 36,736.00 (€ 3,360.77), 22% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Arthur Strasser have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chanteuse Nubienne in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,092.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion A Moroccan Winter durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le fumeur de sebsi von Arthur Strasser zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von MAD 36.736,00 (€ 3.360,77) und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Strasser auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chanteuse Nubienne im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.092,23).
