Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work The letter by Arthur Spooner. The price achieved of GBP 2,291.25 (€ 3,744.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Spooner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Goose Fair, Nottingham in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 218,050.00 (€ 324,523.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The letter von Arthur Spooner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.291,25 (€ 3.744,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Spooner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Goose Fair, Nottingham im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 218.050,00 (€ 324.523,71).
