Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horse and hay wagon; and Shire horses resting in a field by Arthur Spooner was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 822.50 (€ 1,201.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Spooner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Goose Fair, Nottingham in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 218,050.00 (€ 324,523.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horse and hay wagon; and Shire horses resting in a field von Arthur Spooner kam im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 822,50 (€ 1.201,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Spooner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Goose Fair, Nottingham im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 218.050,00 (€ 324.523,71).
