This artwork by Arthur Langhammer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2006. In the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction, the work The Two Flower Girls sold for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,138.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Langhammer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fun with a feline friend, which sold at auction in February 2012 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,970.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Langhammer erzielte im November 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit The Two Flower Girls für GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.138,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Langhammer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fun with a feline friend beobachtet, die im Februar 2012 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.970,13) versteigert wurde.
