Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait of Lady Dorothy Duveen, As A Young Girl, Three-Quarter-Length, In A Feathered Hat by Arthur Lajos Halmi was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,851.26). Other works by Arthur Lajos Halmi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2008 by the work Joyful jewels at EUR 4,375.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait of Lady Dorothy Duveen, As A Young Girl, Three-Quarter-Length, In A Feathered Hat von Arthur Lajos Halmi im November 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.851,26) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Arthur Lajos Halmi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Februar 2008 die Arbeit Joyful jewels mit EUR 4.375,00.
