Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Château Amboise on the Loire by Arthur Joseph Meadows was sold in the Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures including Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in November 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,009.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Joseph Meadows have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Ducal Palace, Venice in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 16,730.00 (€ 25,877.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
