Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work On the moorings by Arthur Briscoe. The price achieved of GBP 576.00 (€ 661.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Briscoe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Decks Awash in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 33,600.00 (€ 49,866.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the moorings von Arthur Briscoe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 576,00 (€ 661,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Briscoe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Decks Awash im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.600,00 (€ 49.866,61).
