It achieved a price of GBP 420.00 (€ 616.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur J. Legge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Evening by a Dutch canal, which sold at auction in March 2007 for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,296.14).
