Auction result well in line with expectations

In June 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction The Curtis StudioImportant Photographs and Ephemera from a Distinguished Private Collection, which included the work North Dome, Yosemite by Arthur C. Pillsbury. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of USD 535.50 (€ 451.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur C. Pillsbury achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gates Of Yosemite; And Sunshine In The Redwoods 3 in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 8,287.50 (€ 6,994.85).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion The Curtis StudioImportant Photographs and Ephemera from a Distinguished Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit North Dome, Yosemite von Arthur C. Pillsbury zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 535,50 (€ 451,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur C. Pillsbury erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gates Of Yosemite; And Sunshine In The Redwoods 3 im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 6.994,85).
