Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of a ram by Arpad Balint was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction at Christies in London in February 2005. The price achieved of GBP 300.00 (€ 435.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arpad Balint achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Young Girls dancing in a Summer Meadow in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 14,340.00 (€ 13,155.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study of a ram von Arpad Balint wurde im Februar 2005 in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 300,00 (€ 435,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250,00 – 350,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arpad Balint erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Young Girls dancing in a Summer Meadow im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.340,00 (€ 13.155,96).
