A top price for Arnold Meermann - as previously expected
In July 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings, which included the work Haymaking By A Medieval Castle, Germany by Arnold Meermann. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,237.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Haymaking By A Medieval Castle, Germany is the most expensive artwork by Arnold Meermann that we have observed at auctions so far.
