Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2002 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work Portrait of a young man, three-quarter-length, in a yellow silk kimono with a red lining, wearing an earring, leaning on a stone plinth, a view to a garden beyond by Arnold Houbraken. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,451.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arnold Houbraken - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rahel bittet ihre Schwester Lea um die gesammelten Alraunen, which sold at auction in October 2010 for EUR 8,540.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a young man, three-quarter-length, in a yellow silk kimono with a red lining, wearing an earring, leaning on a stone plinth, a view to a garden beyond von Arnold Houbraken zur Versteigerung kam.
