Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Music by Arnold Auerbach was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in December 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 334.60 (€ 473.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Arnold Auerbach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Phoenix in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,231.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Music von Arnold Auerbach wurde im Dezember 2004 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 334,60 (€ 473,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arnold Auerbach auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Phoenix im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.231,15).
