Auction result fails to reach estimate
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work “Cylinda-Line” by Arne Jacobsen for DKK 1,400.00 (€ 187.88). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 2,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arne Jacobsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pair of Early Production Egg Chairs in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,518.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “Cylinda-Line” von Arne Jacobsen für DKK 1.400,00 (€ 187,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arne Jacobsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pair of Early Production Egg Chairs im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.518,49).
