Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work A circular coffee table with aluminium stem and rosewood top by Arne Jacobsen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 6,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 4,800.00 (€ 643.78). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arne Jacobsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pair of Early Production Egg Chairs in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,518.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit A circular coffee table with aluminium stem and rosewood top von Arne Jacobsen im November diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 6.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 4.800,00 (€ 643,78) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arne Jacobsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pair of Early Production Egg Chairs im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.518,49).
