Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Armando Reverón could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin America: Modern Art Evening Sale auction, the work Autorretrato changed hands for USD 93,750.00 (€ 83,437.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 125,000.00 – 175,000.00. Admittedly, works by Armando Reverón have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desnudo Detrás De La Mantilla in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 872,500.00 (€ 705,677.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Armando Reverón konnte im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin America: Modern Art Evening Sale wechselte die Arbeit Autorretrato für USD 93.750,00 (€ 83.437,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 125.000,00 – 175.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Armando Reverón auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Desnudo Detrás De La Mantilla im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 872.500,00 (€ 705.677,77).
