Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Day Auction, which included the work Mujer con mantilla by Armando Reverón. The price achieved of USD 100,800.00 (€ 93,933.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Armando Reverón have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desnudo Detrás De La Mantilla in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 872,500.00 (€ 705,677.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mujer con mantilla von Armando Reverón zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 93.933,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Armando Reverón auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Desnudo Detrás De La Mantilla im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 872.500,00 (€ 705.677,77).
