Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trees by Arie Smit was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art Online: Come Fly with Me auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,382.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arie Smit achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Padi Fields in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,605,000.00 (€ 412,591.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Trees von Arie Smit wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art Online: Come Fly with Me bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.382,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arie Smit erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Padi Fields im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.605.000,00 (€ 412.591,26).
