Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Temple Complex by Arie Smit was sold in the Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 28,031.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 220,000.00 – 280,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arie Smit achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Padi Fields in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,605,000.00 (€ 412,591.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Temple Complex von Arie Smit wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 28.031,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 220.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arie Smit erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Padi Fields im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.605.000,00 (€ 412.591,26).
