Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Royal Princess by Archibald Wakley was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,929.43). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Archibald Wakley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sleeping Beauty in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 400,000.00 (€ 446,835.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Royal Princess von Archibald Wakley kam im November 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.929,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Archibald Wakley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Sleeping Beauty im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 400.000,00 (€ 446.835,65).
