Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four butterflies and three moths by Anton Henstenburgh was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings auction at Christies in New York in January last year. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,351.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anton Henstenburgh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zeven uitheemse Insecten. in September this year with an auction result of CHF 28,750.00 (€ 29,714.31).

Die Arbeit Four butterflies and three moths von Anton Henstenburgh wurde im Januar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.351,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anton Henstenburgh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zeven uitheemse Insecten. im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 28.750,00 (€ 29.714,31).
