Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work The Madonna and Child by Antonio Vivarini. The price achieved of GBP 100,250.00 (€ 119,577.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antonio Vivarini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Saint Peter Martyr at prayer in June last year with an auction result of USD 630,000.00 (€ 601,776.67).
