Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Reading Girl by Antonio Rossetti was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in New York in October 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 64,388.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Rossetti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self-Help (A Reading Girl), which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 151,200.00 (€ 177,313.35).

Die Arbeit The Reading Girl von Antonio Rossetti wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 64.388,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Rossetti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Self-Help (A Reading Girl) beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 151.200,00 (€ 177.313,35) versteigert wurde.
