Auction result misses estimated price range

When the work Paesaggio mediterraneo con barche all'ormeggio by Antonio Recalcati was auctioned at Il Ponte in September 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 150.00 – 180.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 100.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Recalcati achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Boheme De Chirico, Place D'Italie, 1973 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 14,870.00.

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Als die Arbeit Paesaggio mediterraneo con barche all'ormeggio von Antonio Recalcati im September 2013 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 150,00 – 180,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 100,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Recalcati erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Boheme De Chirico, Place D'Italie, 1973 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.870,00.
