Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Still life with flowers and fruits by Antonio Ponce for EUR 35,280.00. This price was achieved in the auction Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Ponce achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A basket of apples and quinces and flowers in a glass vase on a stone ledge in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 576,500.00 (€ 508,736.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still life with flowers and fruits von Antonio Ponce für EUR 35.280,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Ponce erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A basket of apples and quinces and flowers in a glass vase on a stone ledge im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 576.500,00 (€ 508.736,32).
