Auction result misses estimated price range
In August last year a collector was able to acquire the work Mineola by Antonio Jacobsen for USD 6,375.00 (€ 6,333.83). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Jacobsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Racing Schooners in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 224,500.00 (€ 166,926.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mineola von Antonio Jacobsen für USD 6.375,00 (€ 6.333,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Jacobsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Racing Schooners im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 224.500,00 (€ 166.926,91).
