Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Antonio Jacobsen could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work El Rio changed hands for USD 6,400.00 (€ 5,867.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Jacobsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Racing Schooners in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 224,500.00 (€ 166,926.91).
