In the The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 2 |Old Master, 19th and 20th Century Paintings, Day Sale auction, the work The Palace Guard changed hands for USD 12,600.00 (€ 12,683.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio María Fabrés y Costa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Guard in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 545,000.00 (€ 488,263.75).
