Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Santa Maria Zobenigo by Antonio María de Reyna Manescau for USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,822.92). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio María de Reyna Manescau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Chiesa del Redentore; and Il ponte di Rialto, Venezia in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 35,250.00 (€ 54,523.77).
