Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Antonio Frasconi could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work The Winery changed hands for USD 119.50 (€ 97.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Frasconi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fulton Fish Market - Sunrise in September 2002 with an auction result of USD 3,824.00 (€ 3,870.84).
