Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Castaways landing on the beach after a storm by Antonio Francesco Peruzzini was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,473.15). Admittedly, works by Antonio Francesco Peruzzini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A capriccio with figures in a landscape; and a companion painting in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 81,600.00 (€ 59,736.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Castaways landing on the beach after a storm von Antonio Francesco Peruzzini im April 2017 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.473,15) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Francesco Peruzzini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A capriccio with figures in a landscape; and a companion painting im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.600,00 (€ 59.736,46).
