Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,024.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Caro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Colombia, which sold at auction in February last year for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,705.27).
