A top price for Anton Smeerdijk - as previously expected
The work Oud straatje in Katwijk aan Zee: a view of Katwijk in summer by Anton Smeerdijk was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2005. The price achieved of EUR 720.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Oud straatje in Katwijk aan Zee: a view of Katwijk in summer is the most expensive artwork by Anton Smeerdijk that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Oud straatje in Katwijk aan Zee: a view of Katwijk in summer von Anton Smeerdijk kam im September 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion.
