Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work Riders before a Turkish town by Anton Schoth. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,612.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Other works by Anton Schoth have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2003 the work Trading vessels before Hagia Sofia, Istanbul was auctioned for GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,061.89).

Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Riders before a Turkish town von Anton Schoth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.612,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Anton Schoth konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2003 die Arbeit Trading vessels before Hagia Sofia, Istanbul für GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.061,89) versteigert.
