It achieved a price of GBP 29,375.00 (€ 47,527.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antoine Watteau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Pèlerinage a l’Ile de Cythère in January this year with an auction result of USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,713,022.66).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 29.375,00 (€ 47.527,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antoine Watteau erzielen.
