Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Rape Of Europa by Antiveduto Grammatica was sold in the The Otto Naumann Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2018. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 38,220.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antiveduto Grammatica have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Guardian Angel in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 177,761.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Rape Of Europa von Antiveduto Grammatica wurde im Januar 2018 in der Auktion The Otto Naumann Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 38.220,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antiveduto Grammatica auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Guardian Angel im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 177.761,75).
