Artwork auctioned at 35 times the upper estimate price
The work The Holy Family with the infant Saint John Baptist adored by a saint or patron (recto); A group of standing men in robes (verso) by Anthony van Dyck was worth GBP 212,500.00 (€ 251,150.13) to a buyer in December 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings: Online at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony van Dyck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Princess Mary (1631–1660), daughter of King Charles I of England, full-length, in a pink dress decorated with silver embroidery and ribbons in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 5,858,750.00 (€ 6,527,167.10).
Kunstwerk zum 35-fachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit The Holy Family with the infant Saint John Baptist adored by a saint or patron (recto); A group of standing men in robes (verso) von Anthony van Dyck war einem Käufer im Dezember 2019 GBP 212.500,00 (€ 251.150,13) wert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Princess Mary (1631–1660), daughter of King Charles I of England, full-length, in a pink dress decorated with silver embroidery and ribbons im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.858.750,00 (€ 6.527.167,10).
