Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2004 Christies in Sydney held the auction THE JOHN SCHAEFFER COLLECTION AT RONA, which included the work On the Lake by Anthony Dattilo Rubbo. The price achieved of AUD 2,629.00 (€ 1,536.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Dattilo Rubbo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cargo Wharf, which sold at auction in August 2004 for AUD 7,170.00 (€ 4,161.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion THE JOHN SCHAEFFER COLLECTION AT RONA durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Lake von Anthony Dattilo Rubbo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 2.629,00 (€ 1.536,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthony Dattilo Rubbo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Cargo Wharf beobachtet, die im August 2004 für AUD 7.170,00 (€ 4.161,46) versteigert wurde.
