Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Alessandro Farnese In Armor by Anthonis Mor was sold in the Old Masters Part I auction at Christies in New York in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,592,500.00 (€ 2,147,175.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Anthonis Mor have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2019 the work Portrait Of Jacopo Da Trezzo (C. 1514–1589) was auctioned for GBP 1,935,000.00 (€ 2,286,943.53).

Die Arbeit Alessandro Farnese In Armor von Anthonis Mor wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Old Masters Part I bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.500.000,00 – 3.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.592.500,00 (€ 2.147.175,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
