In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Drawings, which included the work A Wooden Barn On The Edge Of A Village, A Windmill And Church Spire On The Horizon by Anthonie Erkelens. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,307.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00.
