Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Snow-Covered Tree by Ansel Adams for USD 22,680.00 (€ 18,544.56). This price was achieved in the auction A Grand Vision: The David H. Arrington Collection of Ansel Adams Masterworks at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Snow-Covered Tree von Ansel Adams für USD 22.680,00 (€ 18.544,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion A Grand Vision: The David H. Arrington Collection of Ansel Adams Masterworks bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ansel Adams erzielen.
