In the Ansel Adams and the American West: Photographs from the Center for Creative Photography auction, the work Nancy Newhall, Tioga Mine, California, c. 1944 changed hands for USD 375.00 (€ 334.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).
