In the Ansel Adams and the American West: Photographs from the Center for Creative Photography auction, the work Joshuas and Moon, Joshua Tree National Monument, California, 1948 sold for USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,154.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).
